Can you flat tow a 2001 Chevy Tracker?
I found a copy of the owners manual online for the 2001 Chevy Tracker and found that you can flat tow it (see section 4-44 in the owners manual). For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2, # RM-520. This is a popular tow bar and has plenty of capacity for your tracker.
Can I flat tow a 1996 Geo Tracker?
The 96 Tracker 4×4 is towable with manual hubs only. The owners manual says that you canot tow it with the automatic hubs. Once you turn the key to the on position you can turn the key off completely.

They are rock-solid dependable (even if you loan them to a friend who happens not to know that cars need oil…) and will get you through any kind of weather. They’re not quick and the handling is what you’d expect for a tall, short SUV, but for the price they are unbeatable. These trucks are excellent in the winter.
